Pack Smart was delivered to Converted Images just in time to take advantage of their planned factory redesign which will include solar panels.
 Converted Images, an Illinois-based print finishing company, has successfully teamed up with Pack Smart Inc. on a packaging and specialty finishing machine which is unique in the industry for its capabilities and its eco-friendly design.
The machine, designed by Pack Smart, was delivered to Converted Images just in time to take advantage of their planned factory redesign which will include solar panels. The packaging and specialty finishing machine is energy efficient and is designed to be able to run off of solar power.
“This technology is very eco friendly. It doesn’t put out heat; instead it recycles the heat as unused energy, so there is very little energy lost,” according to Brian Weinstein, president of Converted Images.
In addition to being eco friendly, the machine is also far faster and more accurate in its die cutting than any other machines on the market.
Converted Images has used the machine on such projects as creating a 3 by 3 card with lettuce seeds (held on by an eco friendly glue), for one of it's major clinets .
The machine has also been used for numerous other product sampling projects, including affixing teabags to brochures to hang out at Nascar events. “You need accuracy for these kinds of projects, and this machine is extremely accurate. We’ve been able to take on projects that we never would have been able to do in the past,” according to Weinstein.
The 45 foot long machine is highly adaptable and can be used on numerous types of packaging products, including the attachment of rigid windowed cartons, CD insertion, DVD insertion, and Braille embossing.
