HEADLINE:Pack-Smart Inc. Unveils New Braille Application System At Print
’09 Show
PRESS RELEASE: Pack-Smart Inc. has introduced their innovative new braille
application system for folding cartons and commercial print finishing
applications. They unveiled the new system and other new technologies at
the largest print show in America, the Print ’09 show.
Pack-Smart’s new technologies can be seen at Booth 3640 at the
Chicago-based show, which runs through September 16, and on their website
at www.packsmartinc.com.
Their new braille embossing system, unlike any system available on the
market today, allows for integration with most folder gluers or bindery
finishing equipment.
Pack-Smart Braille is fully compliant with ECMA Euro Braille standard, as
well as Can-Am Braille guidleines. Also, to ensure 100 percent integrity
of the Braille characters, Pack-Smart also offers the 3D Vision Inspection
system, which checks for height and spacing between dots
“The most exciting part of the show so far is the fact that one of
Pack-Smart loyal customers decided to invest in more Pack-Smart technology
here at the show. Converted Images Finishing of Chicago added a flexible
window system to their new already fully loaded finishing system
purchased from Pack-Smart earlier this year,” Derek Dlugosh-Ostap,
president of Pack Smart Inc., said.
Another innovation from Pack-Smart which they are unveiling at the Print
’09 show is their HPW 44 High Performance Finishing System equipped with
rigid and flexible window application modules.
This new technology allows for adding PET, PLA windows, product samples,
and loyalty cards in order to increase product visibility. The system can
be equipped with a number of gluing attachments or simply integrated with
third party folder gluers.
A new feature of HPW44 introduced at Print 09 is their digital packaging
serialization module EP2000. EP2000 technology prints individual serial
numbers and 2D barcodes on cartons being produced on Pack-Smart equipment,
and generates master labels for batch control on each master case and
pallet, while tracking all damages and non compliant products.
Pack-Smart also showed off its new control platform of networked based
servo technology that offers quick change over features, remote
diagnostics, unlimited product recipe functions and wide range of
speciality labeling attachments, reinforced with vision inspection.
